The LCT was established to remedy the gap in the law when prosecuting and determining cases of breach of the Leadership Code by the Inspectorate of Government. The LCT is therefore an enforcer of the Leadership Code Act 2002 alongside the Inspectorate of Government. The LCT’s mandate is to hear and determine breaches of the Leadership Code by public leaders and officers.
