Legal Advisor

Ms. Kamakune is a results-oriented legal professional with over 6 years of experience in the legal sector, specializing in legal research and advisory, governance and compliance, and handling sensitive matters with confidentiality. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Uganda Christian University, a Post Graduate Diploma from the Law Development Centre, and a Graduate CG from the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland. She has undergone additional training in leadership from prestigious institutions like Harvard University and The Global Leadership Summit.

Currently serving as a Legal Advisor at the Leadership Code Tribunal, Ms. Kamakune’s responsibilities include conducting legal research, developing and implementing legal policies and procedures, and assembling case materials for court processes. Previously, she worked as a Research Officer at the Courts of Judicature and gained experience in analyzing legal issues, preparing legal documents, and providing professional support to judicial officers.

Ms. Kamakune has also contributed her legal expertise as a Legal Intern at the Bank of Uganda and as a Legal Assistant at LANDnet Uganda and Kahuma, Khalayi and Kaheeru Advocates. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree at the University of East London, further enhancing her knowledge and skills in the legal field.
